Every human being on earth has their share of problems and troubles. May they be emotional, physical, financial.....and we all deal with these problems differently. Something you may be able to deal with might be devastating for someone else.

What I don't understand are the people who think they are the only ones with problems. Until you walk a mile in someone's shoes, I think you should be more respectful and mindful of the way you treat people. Especially if the defense for treating other people is because that person has problems of their own.

Everyone has problems. However, not everyone takes their emotions out on others.

I have seen people on this site who think they know it all and only end up saying mean spirited things. If I post something it is just my view of the situation. I agree people need to be more open minded and must be thoughtful of what they say and do.

why are we here: I think the answer should be:
"We are here to help each other, to care for each other, to understand, forgive, and serve one another." EBT pg51

Great quote SantanaRex!

i am making myself write this so I won't forget it.

"If we understood the awesome power of our words we would prefer silence to almost anything negative."

We all react differently to stress that is true. here on EP I will be much more careful in the future.

I agree with you there.

Exactly, Sensei.

A bumper sticker moment is in order...

"mean people suck"

It is very sad when people lash out and get ugly with someone else. They forget they may be next in line for needing kindness and support and then wonder where everybody went! The Golden Rule rules.

Here it CK ....... especially in this current situation the world is in people have jumped on the financial crisis wagon .... great excuse for giving up because everything is stacked against them ... ..... More to be pitted than scorned eh ?

I think anyone who read the thread would agree with you CK :).
And i hate to see that anyone was hurt, especially you.

Yes, many people have been hurt for no reason.

Well its kind of like you said in your story everyone handles things differently. Unfortunatley some people do lash out. It isnt right but they do.

I know you have alot going on now and no you dont take it out on others, you are a wonderful supportive friend.
It just seems that this has spiraled way out of control and so many have been hurt.

That doesn't make it right for someone to take out their frustrations out on others just because they're sad or angry or heart broken.

I'm in a horrible place right now in my life. A place where I feel more lonely than I ever have. A place where I never thought I'd be. I have some very happy things happening, but I'm also very sad and scared and anxious.

I'm not taking all of that pain I have and lashing out at others, in the great chance of making their situation even worse.

That's what I don't understand.

Very true CK. Everyone handles things very differently. Some seek support of friends, some internalize them and some lash out... right or wrong we all do handle them differently.
