Credit Cards Are a Rip Off

I've seen many, many times that credit cards put people in debt. I don't want debt collectors calling me. My motto about credit cards is if you don't have money to purchase things, how are you going to have money to pay your credit card bills? Plus you have to pay high interest usually. It is all a scam. It's up to something like 19 or 20 something percent interest. What a scam, save your money!!! It would be nice to have one for emergencies, but personally it is a big hassle. My friend, Renee has bad credit, but recently got a credit card with a $250 credit limit, but they take $200 out for an annual fee so she would be paying $250 to charge a $50 purchase. It is ridiculous. That's why I don't think I will ever use a credit card.

You can use a debit card rather than a credit card I don't like credit cards either I think they are a waste of your hard earned money.

I don't know if everyone was aware of this completely, but the new credit card laws are taking effect right about now. The new credit cards legislation affects how interest can be applied, who can apply, and who can be marketed to – banks and credit card companies aren't happy about it, even though they just got billions in taxpayer funded payday loans from the government. Some are projecting enormous losses already, although at this point I don't know anyone who is going to be shedding tears for the poor credit card companies.

you know what Ivy, that's a good idea. i've got a ton of applications. maybe i should get one.

You will need a credit card for some purchases, not just online. Few hotels or car rental places will take cash these days, and if they do they want a huge deposit. If you pay off the balance by the due date you actually end up getting a few weeks free credit, no interest.

yeah, i might get one. i have great credit because i've never had a credit card... just to use for emergencies.... or when i don't have any money and they have shoes at payless buy one,get one. Can anyone spell BOGO? That's all I have on my mind right now.
