Don't Want Them, Never Will...

I realize we live in an extremely child-centric world. Don't believe me: just look at your local news when they report a tragedy that happens to a women. Every time, it will be mentioned that she was a mother, if she is indeed a mother. She could actually have cured a form of cancer and that might not even get mentioned. And I have to agree with the person here that mentioned how parents feel that the kids need to bring there kids everywhere with them. Yes, including the ***** club and the adult novelty store. I've even heard of some parents who feel an S&M fair is the perfect place to bring your 10 year old. I can understand if you take your kid to something they might actually enjoy, and get something out of, but does your toddler really need to be at that micro-biology lecture? Yes, I realize your child is a very mature for his age, and a genius, but when he is babbling over the lecture going on and insisting on getting out his seat, I have to wonder. Oh, that's right, since I'm not a parent, I couldn't possible understand what is appropriate for children or not...

Remember when kids didn't have those protective car seats? It strikes me as odd that I didn't die because they didn't have those when I was little.
