I Am So Sick of That Saying!

I am so sick of hearing the saying "Hang in there" I wish that it never existed, because people throw it out there, and they don't hold any meaning to it. They use it to make them look like they really care, when sadly, they don't! Its seems very rarely you will find someone who says "Hang in there" and they really mean it, or really want things to get better for you!

    many people that say that mean it and they are saying it sincerely. meaning they dont want youto give up.

    I hope i haven't used it, although it regularly appears in comments, when you write something depressing!



    You may be being too harsh. When I see it used, I interpret it as meaning "I am so sorry, but I cannot think of anything very useful to say - but I want to be supportive and not just pass by." That said, it's pretty lame!!

    i know what you mean. you dislike insincere people trying to come off as sincere. just saying something to someone does not cut it. if no sincerity and compassion is there and felt, their word fall as lame and meaningless, to say the very least.
