Not Sure If I Dream At All

Once in a while (maybe every month or two) I'll wake up with the memory of a dream, though it usually evaporates in seconds which is pretty annoying. But the rest of the time I don't think I dream at all, or if I do I forget it completely which amounts to the same thing as far as I'm concerned.

They say dreaming is an essential part of normal brain functioning - it helps to keep you sane. That explains a lot, actually.

Does anyone else not dream like me?

You should keep a journal beside your bed and write everything you can remember down. Everyone dreams. Even if it is just words or feelings. This intrigues me.

That's what they say (who is this mysterious "they" who say so much, anyway?), but I guess I'd have to have a sleep study (looking for REM, etc) to know for sure.

And I don't think a journal would work - by the time I turn on the light, find my glasses, find the journal and pen, etc, most of my dreams would have already evaporated.

Maybe you never get into rem sleep. I have one dream I have been trying to remember all my life. I have it 2 to 3 times a month, and there is always a ticking that gets louder and louder and bigger and bigger. Not sure what IT is, but I wake up sweating and breathing hard
