Oh charles dickens...

It was the best of times, and the worst of times.  Puberty in Jr. High School.  Needless to say, alcohol became a coping mechanism for my odd biological shift taking place.

Best of times you ask?  Well, I didn't have a mortgage, or have to pay my own food, or work for an a-hole of a boss... so there you have it.  Regardless, at age 13 I decided it would be in my best interest to get blitzed and take my parents car for a spin.  One devoured lawn and a traffic accident later, I had 500 hours of community service and could not drive until I was 21.

How'd that impact my adult life?  Well I'm much more responsible than your average person, I had to move to a large city where I could get away without driving, and it really doesn't matter because i'm still for the most part uninsurable.  Ahhh, the waste of youth.

PS In our town, someone started a group called "Drinkers Against Drunk Driving" and he is building a Party Bus!
