I try out all sorts of temporary hair dyes... not that wash out immediately, but take 8-12 washes. I like to dye my hair cherry red on a whim, but it works for me and it looks good because naturally I'm a dark enough brunette to make it work. I even did the purplish-burgundy color that's so popular now... that looked good too! Then I tried the black hair dye... it didn't exactly do the job, my hair turned a few shades darker and a couple shades more purple, but it wasn't black. Oh well. Maybe soon enough, once my current dye job washes out, I'll branch out and try some highlights or something.

I used to love the "crazy" colours (fire engine red, etc) but it's too much hassle for me now and I want a bit of longevity from colours. Despite having fine hair it's resistant to chemical treatment and I have to bleach it to bits to get any semi colour to stay more than a week. I salute you for having the energy to persist with temporary colours. :)
