Ghost Story?

When I was younger, around 12 or so, I had a couple of experiences that I have not forgotten about, and makes me wonder about things at times.

Once when I was in bed with my hand hanging over the edge, I felt something cool and slimy rub against it and pulled my hand up quickly. I listened for any sounds or movement for awhile before getting back to sleep. I never let my hand get of the bed after that. Even to this day, when I find my hand or feet are towards the floor, I pull them back up. The feeling from back then was THAT real.

Even more odd and about that same time, our family dog Ginger, usually slept in my sister's room,, She started to look towards her closet and growled softly. Needless to say she was a little unsure what was going on. She finally called for our Dad, who came in and turned on the lights. As he looked around the closet, Ginger watched but stopped the growling.

A few other nights this happened, and it was really getting to us. Eventually it stopped, but we never did figure out what was happening. Did the Dog see or sense something? I still recall everything about those nights so clearly.

Any thoughts?

spirits/ghosts do exist . too many people have experienced them for it not to be . always skeptics out there that will say it is your imagination . I have seen some wild **** and my hometown has had many sightings of them . in fact on you tube if you look for alton illinois ghosts . you will see some of the ghost stories and showing orbs on tape . one is in a church here . a preacher hung himself and haunts the church . then the old war prison here and the mansion here . I believe that there are ghosts everywhere . they are not all evil . some just are sad and cant leave the world . stays around . wishing they could be alive . some gets angry over it . some just watches and wishes . some protects .

Back in 2008,. My daughter and her pup! heard three knocks on the door that was at the bottom of her stairs, (very, very old houses, even the ba<x>sement, we later learned was bricked all up!, wonder why??) Now this house, where my daughter once lived were that of old railway cottages!, that were built for the railway workers, back in 18 some odd! And both my daughter and her dog, (now mine) Shadow heard it! because the dog looked up at the door, as if to say! "hang on there's no-one up those stairs"! He jumped in my daughter's arms,. They moved out a fortnight later, "the dog would not go up those stairs alone"!,. "There are more things in heaven than on earth" I think the saying goes! :D I am no expert in the supernatural but. I have experienced several encounters in my lifetime! thankfully no more to report,. D I to, hate leaving my hands and feet out of the duvet.
Thank you so much for sharing your post my young friend!,.

I have seen 3 in my time

yes there was some thing as ours and animals insticts are strong senses, never under estimate your senses, the spirit made it self aware to you for a reason, maybe just a roaming spirit.

Now this could be several things, mixed with a vivid imagination or a phallic fetish, things can go bump in the night.Dogs sense things that we fear, even if there's nothing there as they're in sync with us.
But it could simply have been a snake,a friendly snake exploring the corners of your house,by the time your dog was growling or someone comes to the rescue,it's gone!
Cool,reptilian,slimey snake....full of symbolic meanings I'd say!

Usually a snake in a dream, even if it seemed so real, means did anything happen after this incident to confirm this,or everyime you think of this dream or experience, does something happen in your life? Ask yourself the question; Is this a sign to tell you what might happen shortly? Even writing this experience hre could be a way that your unconscious mind is communicating to warn you.

Then again, snakes like warmth,at night it's cold,so it could also be nothing more than a natural happening whereby a friendly snake came to visit a little girl at night.........wait a minute! Doesn't all this have something to do with your sexuality?????

Or it could be that snakes in a bed can refer to a situation in your life where your private space is being invaded and your boundaries not respected. In the dream, you may be surprised by the presence of the snake in your bed, just like you may not be fully aware that you are being bothered by a situation or someone close to you in your waking life.
This type of snake dream relates to the need to look at guilt or an anxiety that is associated to the topics of private space or intimacy in general or in the context of current relationships at that time.

Then again this snake dream or 'Real Sensation Experience' is a reminder of your own creativity and need to express deep, instinctual desires.......are you an artist,at the age of 12 were you understood intellectually or just treated as a child?

The only ghost aspect is the meanings you attach to it,a highly creative person can trigger anything, good or bad.....but I think is was a good thing you experienced, otherwise I wouldn't have written such a long reply to your question....would I?
