Varied And No Snobbery

I make no secret of my deep love of music in all it's wonderful guises. The music I've listened to as I've grown older has followed no other path than "I like it, I'm listening to it". It's a very simple theory and has been immensely enjoyable.

I don't look back with any embarrassment on the music I used to listen to (Michael Jackson, Abba, George Michael, Metallica, Queensryche, Megadeth and U2 as a few examples), rather I am pleased that there is such a wide range available to me.

The only two areas where I draw the line are jazz (just can't get into it) and modern dance music. I went through the Chicago House sound era and loved house music upto the time when Acid house was created. That pretty much spelled the end for me.

Nowadays, I listen to The National (I seriously suggest trying these if you haven't), Arcade Fire, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Alice In Chains, Rolling Stones, Fleet Foxes, Slayer (yep, Slayer) and...well, you get the picture. I'll still here the odd song from the charts that I think is quite a clever pop song and I also love classical music - very moving.

I'm always open to listening to new bands, so please PM me if you can recommend anyone!!
