A Slice Of Heaven

In our old house, the garden was nothing but a pool and dirt surrounded by a wood privacy fence. There was one shrub obviously planted by a bird and some banana trees in one corner. Behind the garage was a trash heap of undescribable stuff which had to wait for another day. Over the course of the next several years, I turned the barren back yard into an oasis. Added a hottub, pitisporum, added and moved banana trees. Grass grew in abundance, and an outdoor shower made work more pleasurable. A new wood deck and pergula covered in wisteria. It was a slice of heaven.

Every night, I got home, leaving a trail of clothes from the garage to the pool, only to be picked up on my way to work the next morning. Oh I miss that garden.
