Put a Smile On His Face

A personal story in the experience: I Enjoy Cheering People Up
O ne chilly night as I was going into a small grocery store I saw a very sad and lonely looking homeless man sitting near the door. He didn't say a word. When I went into the store I bought a large hot coffee and a large chocolate candy bar.  When I came out of the store I handed both to the sad man and he cried with tears of joy. The smile on his face filled my heart with joy and stayed with me for days. I have learned it doesn't take much to bring a smile to someone's face.

I totally agree. I hate to think of helping out starving children 1,000,000 miles away while those in the next block are also hungry. I just need to figure out a way to find out who they are and help without them knowing who did it.

That is such a beautiful thing to do.

It is also noted in the book upstairs

Jesus said "whatsoever you do for your fellow man, you do for me"

I feel the same way. I love to do things for strangers. My family doesn't appreciate it when they ask for my help and I give it to them, but strangers, they are so easily to make please. My husband, when we were just dating 3 years ago, gave me a few christmas presents. He got those gifts from casino's. When you play enough, they send you cards to pick up your free gift and the gifts. When I opened the gifts I was so happy. He couldn't believe the way I acted when I opened them. He said that they weren't much but I told him I love those kind of things. Just simple things to make me smile.

I try to be giving with people that less fortunate then me. I don't have much but It makes me happy when I can help someone out.
