I could never get into burning. How do you do it. I like cutting because it lets me control what I do.

I can be a masochist and a balanced person at the same time? at least i can try and see for myself, without endangering my life or others lives.

It is good that you reach out to others when you get the urge to do it. That's exactly what you should be doing.
I also would suggest making yourself more busy to ward off depression, especially if you feel you have too much time on your hands and spend too much time alone. Though not to the point that you overwork yourself cause stressing yourself out can arguably lead to depression, too. When you feel bad, consider taking a long jog or a long bike ride. If you have a job, stay overtime once in a while. Throwing yourself into school or a project can also take your mind off things.
If you feel you spend too much time alone, you should strive to socialize more often. Find co-workers or classmates to hang out with. Even being among other people can ward off depression.

Whoever it was that stopped you did it cause they honestly cared about you and wanted to help. You realize that, don't you? Even though you want to do it and may be angry at them for it, I think you realize that on an intellectual level.
That said, if you are only not cutting cause you were caught and forced to stop, they did something wrong. They should have asked you why you cut and burned and NOT treated it like it was the problem in and of itself. Cutting in and of itself usually isn't the problem but the side effect of the problem.
If you are depressed, you should look at why and then find better ways to deal with it than cutting or burning.
