Last time I made a mac and cheese it turned out great, so here's what I did:

1 block Sharp Cheddar Cheese (The sharper the better!)
1 pound Gemelli Pasta (I used fresh, so that's part of why it turned out so good)
2 cups Milk
2 tbs Butter
2 tbs Flour
A pinch of Mustard Powder
Salt and pepper
About 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
Stewed tomatoes, for topping! (Opt.)

Preheat the oven to 400. Boil the pasta. In a saucepan, melt the butter. Heat the milk in the microwave until warm. Add flour to the melted butter to make a rue. Add milk to the rue a little at a time. Add most of the cheddar, reserving some for later, and mix until melted. Add the mustard powder, salt, and pepper. When the sauce is seasoned properly, and the pasta cooked, remove from heat and mix the pasta and sauce in a pre-greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheddar and breadcrumbs, and bake until the top is crispy (I like mine a little less cooked, but with a crispy top, so I recommend baking for a shorter time and then using the broiler on low for a short while)

In my family, we always topped our mac and cheese with canned stewed tomatoes, though when I made it I used my mom's home canned instead. Much better!

I cook the macaroni, drain and cool
shred medium cheddar cheese 1pound or so, add mozzarella
mix cheeses and mac together place in glass dish, one la<x>yer of cheddar cheese on top
add 2 beaten eggs, milk, salt & pepper together pour over and let it sink in should be enough to almost come to top of dish
sprinkle on paprika
bake at 350 until done

Hmm..
My recipe.
1. Penne pasta(barilla is my fav)
2. I use velvetta cheese because I just think it tastes good even tho it's bad for u:)
3. Sour cream
4. Bacon ;)
5. Salt
6. Pepper

It's simple but good.

I don't use measurements with this recipe...

Note: In the past I've added cheese. Mozzarella, cheddar...etc. i have also used veggies...Usually broccoli florets.(I just buy the steam bags)
And I let it sit in the crock pot after the pasta cooked and added everything and it melts and yum.

Or I bake it and add asiago cheese with breadcrumbs on the top for a little crust.
