I Know what you mean,

A couple of weeks ago a friend and I were removing a couple of branches from one of my trees which incidently was hanging precariously over our Koi fish pond.

I think I made a mistake by inquiring as to how his anxiety situation was going and he said that it was going OK as of late. I was very happy for him. One reason being that I have been studying about Panic attacks which are brought on by anxiety. Result being that I had given him some material pertaining to a mini course.

I was being specially careful not to let the branches fall into the pond. It could have hurt the fish. Any way we worked at it for about 1/2 hour. Seemingly all at once, he said, "I'm not feeling too good, I really am havng an anxiety attack".

We sat and discussed his attack in an attempt to settle him down. He got a little better and decided to go home.

After thinking about what had happened, I decided that probably my inquiry as to his situation, reminded him of his illness an possibily instituted an attack.

I think the morale to this story is to 'Let sleeping dogs lie'.

Cheers
Helping others makes you a worthy person in the society. So keep on helping.

i have for a long time got a kick out of helping, people always say thanks and act like its a big deal, but to me it just makes me feel good- its seems its more of a help for me to help somebody else than the person im helping. its pretty much gotten to where now i get so tired of people saying thanx that its like a pet peve

I know the feeling. Helping other is unselfish positive regard. It is like giving and expecting nothing in return but the goodness of helping someone.

Then maybe you should be a therapist, it's a natural gift. Use what god gave you.
