Little Things Count

This little recount makes me smile every time I think about it.

There was an Indian couple who didn't speak very good english trying to board one of Perth's trains with their kids. Anyone who lives in Australia knows that our trains are a bit erratic, as are our Transit officers.

Anyway, the train would leave in a minute, and this couple didn't have enough to buy a ticket for their kids. I wasn't going to do anything about it, but I saw those little kids getting really upset, and walked up to them, handing them a 10 dollar note.

They got on that train, and I've never seen kids sO excited to be on public transport before! Every time we went over a bridge or a bumpy bit of track they'd scream and laugh and giggle...

Even today, I love the thought that my 10 dollars made someone's day.
