Incredibly Hard

I find it incredibly hard to find women with intelligence. In life and even on the internet. It seems theres a lack of intelligent women, it makes me sad.

adjyo -- I hope you're correct. I find that there is a certain level of vacuousness prevalent in our society today. It's not that intelligence is not important in our society... it's that it's simply not coveted. In the immortal words of **** Cavett:
America wrestles with "the oft-lamented fact that we seem to be alone among nations in having made the word 'intellectual' an insult."

Yeah, I don't think punctuation is particularly important either.

I was trying to make the point that a wee bit of humility regarding one's own knowledge and wisdom might make one more receptive to those qualities in others. There are some remarkable women on EP. If you haven't found any yet, keep looking.

I don't mean to offend you, but reading your post this was very much in my mind.

nudeinva - You may be right.
AndrewP - Yes, of course, age means very little too me along the lines of intelligence. I find it's easier to find intelligent men than women.
adjyo - Nah punctuation is nice but does not mean they are intelligent. It depends, intelligent can't really be defined in words. Let's just say wisdom and knowledge combination.

How do you define "intelligence"? The correct use of punctuation?

I do not think that there is a lack of intelligent women. I do think that women have not had the opportunity to receive the same level of education as men in general so they are at a disadvantage to discuss as many subjects as men are at present.
