I Escaped Jehovah's Witness Cult But Healed Slowly After
Aloha everyone.
I just wanted to say I'm sorry that you have had or continue to have bad experiences. There are so many variables in everyone we meet or in everything we do or go in life, but as individuals we are the only one responsible to create the path to receive Jehovah's promises. If you have been a witness, then you know what is right and what is not so great in Jehovah's eyes AND you also know that he is loving, kind, and forgiving. We are human and make mistakes constantly even after we just asked for forgiveness. No one is perfect in this world. As for the witness at your door, at the Kingdom Hall, in the store or on the bus, they are also human just like you.
What is wrong with wanting to share Jehovah with everyone. Why is it not appropriate or acceptable that everything they teach comes through the bible and does not contradict. Isn't it loving that we have a bible to teach us? Haven't humans learned through books for centuries? Doesn't it make intelligent sense to get the whole story than being told only what is easy and pleasant to live with? I was once just like you. Growing up in this religion was hard. 28 years later, I have returned and started Bible studies again. I better relate as I am older now, have experienced and saw so many good and not so good things in this life, I have been through many other religions during my youth and in the past 20 years and have come to the realization that this is the only religion that makes sense. The bible states it isn't going to be easy and that witnesses will be treated harshly, because the truth is not what this world wants to hear. This isn't Jehovah's world until his kingdom comes. It is hard to follow Jehovah. I fall always, but again, I am forgiven and Jesus gave me that opportunity. I can only do my wholeheartedly best. I wish all of you the best too. Its okay to feel the way you do. Again, I am sorry you feel this way. I love all of you.
Mahalo.
