Failing 3 Times In A Row Hurt A Lot

but well, let's start at the beginning of the story...I had been fired by the IT department of the company I was working for in France. I had a bit of savings plus found out that I had been awarded stock options and they had been working quite well during my 3 and a half years there... the dole in France is not such a traumatic experience in France either... you get 80% of your last salary for 2 years provided you pretend looking for a job...

on many a level, the loss of my job was due to a very imbalanced young English woman that I had had the misfortune to meet in Paris in times of doubt... I got the sack... I didn't hear so much from her after that... she only seemed to be interested in my money anyway... I still tried to meet her and we met a few times... then, she left Paris to to back to Australia where her family lives...

even though she'd hurt be a lot, believe it or not, I was sad... I had enjoyed that 'bicultural' relationship we had and was dying to have more of them...

Australia was too far and Anna (the young English woman) wouldn' be too keen on seeing me again, that was obvious...

so, my new project become to go live in England, a country I had always loved...

while on the dole, I studied to obtain a Master's Degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language... I had also applied through the British Council to positions of French assistants. I soon received a phone call in May asking me to start work in September in a comprehensive school in Dartford, Kent. I packed my bags and the adventure started. French assistant is only a temporary position: 1 or 2 school years most so I had already started thinking of my next step: training to become a teacher. It didn't quite work out as well as I thought it would.
