Storm By The Sea

I wrote this short story as a comment to Sabrina and have decided to post it again as its own story...

I was thinking about you lying on a towel at the shore as a powerful storm rolled in from sea. I had been taking a walk along the beach as it approached. The lifeguards had herded everyone out of the water and up toward the boardwalk, but you sat there on your blanket, gazing out at the storm...attracted to it...facinated...aroused...?

I stood off just behind you, as intent on you as you were on the approaching storm, but you knew I was there. The dark clouds obliterated the sun, but the sky was criss-crossed with brilliant streaks of lightning, and the air rumbled with thunder....

Suddenly large raindrops began to fall, and the lightning was coming closer, perilously close. You showed no signs of departing. I approached you and offered my hand -- "we'd better take some cover." You looked up at me for the first time -- I saw the lightning flash in your eyes.

As the rain started to pelt us, you took my hand and grabbed your bag and blanket as you sprang up. We sprinted, still holding hands, pulling each other along up under an abandoned wooden fishing pier. We stopped underneath, panting from the run. Water dripped through the boards down onto us, but we'd escaped the full force of the wind and rain.

I looked at you -- you looked damn good mostly wet, your hair plasterd to your face and shoulders, your suit clinging to your well-tanned body, sand covering your feet and toes. The wind whipping off the ocean chilled our wet bodies -- you sat down and draped the blanket over your shoulders and offered for me to sit next to you, which I did without hesitation. I pulled off my soaked t-shirt and tossed it to the side and huddled under the blanket with you.

We sat side-by-side staring out at the stormy seas, waves swelling and crashing, rain falling hard, almost sideways. The lightning was practically striking around us, thunderclaps rattling our bones, taking our breath away. I could feel your body jump slightly with each strike, even my own trembling with the excitement of the awesome display of nature's power.

Without a word we turned toward each other and gazed hard into each other's eys. Nature's power was hard at work on us, too. Our lips came together. We pulled each other close and kissed, wild, passionate, furious kisses. I felt your damp and trembling and hot body crushed to mine, rubbing and sliding against mine..... our passion intensifying with the storm. We were oblivious to all else around us, tossed at sea, carried away by the tempest. We made wild love there on the sand, entwined in a wet blanket, drowned in the fury of the storm, taking each other to dizzying heights in tempo with the thunder and crashing waves...

...we lay there quietly as the storm passed, holding each other close as the rays of sunlight again peaked out through the departing clouds. I suppose I'll always prefer the shore on rainy days....
