Twilight In the Jungle of Insanity

In case you don't get my weird sense of humor, the title of my experience is a feeble attempt at being clever - (remember the book, "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil"?).  Oh well, I guess it either gains or losses poignancy if you haven't read the book.

Be that as it may, I consider many things associated with my existence today as being in the "twilight" of their collective existences (i.e. politics, the USA, planet earth, my sanity, etc.).

The "greyer" things become, including yours truly, the harder it is for me to distinguish between friend/foe, right/wrong, republican/democrat, country/southern rock, IPod/IZum, good/evil, ad infinitum.... - this mass confusion I find comparable to a "Jungle".

However, as usual, I'm suspicious of what I percieve to be my own "brilliant" cognitive thoughts/observations - afterall, I have changed parties, musical interests, dogs, wives, abodes, jobs, cars, perspectives too many times to mention/remember over the more "enlightened" years of my youth/existence.

Therefore, I must confess that there could be a significant amount of insanity interwoven into my feeble attempts at self expression.

You see, in the twilight of life, brilliance is relative - at least as far as I can see.......
