To Sleep With Giants

Perhaps I consider my mortality a little too much for someone my age. Regardless, being around ancient trees always brings the thoughts to the forefront of my mind. Under their watch, wars have been fought, continents discovered, empires crumbled, messiahs born. All under their watch.

I have decided that when my time one day comes, the one place I would want my ashes scattered is among the towering redwood groves of Northern California. Only then could I truly rest in peace.

Dammit, that song is stuck in my head now!

Thanks!
I've also heard they can make a diamond out of the carbon from your ashes. Shine on?

Dear Friend,

Stand Tall and Proud
Sink your roots deeply into the Earth
Reflect the light of a greater source

Feel the wind and the sun
And delight in their presence
Look up at the moon that shines down upon you
And the mystery of the stars at night.
Seek nourishment from the good things in life
Simple pleasures
Earth, fresh air, light

Be content with your natural beauty
Drink plenty of water
Let your limbs sway and dance in the breezes
I promise I'm not starting a copy&paste campaign, but I just could not resist.
Did you know, you can also have your ashes put into a firework??
