y life has changed a lot in the past year. My mom divorced her husband of nearly a decade, threw herself into dating and then moved in her boyfriend after knowing him less than three months. I held the family together while she was busy looking for love and now, though I'd never say it to her, I HATE her boyfriend. I've never hated anyone in my life and now the first person ever is someone I live with. I'm old enough to live on my own, which is what we all want at this point, but I can't afford it and full-time jobs with reasonable pay aren't exactly in abundance at the moment. I feel helpless because I'm trapped in a place where a man I hardly know is allowed to throw my shortcomings in my face and twist them into greater, more deliberate faults.
