I Don't Belong

There are many places I don't belong. In church is one of those places. The circus is another; although, when I was a child, I really wanted to be that beautiful little girl in a pretty pink tutu,  who rode around the left hand ring standing on a bare back horse.

I would welcome you in my church, or in my home as we could have coffee and just chat about the great I am.

That is kind of you, and I'd be happy to visit you in your home and chat. The reason I don't feel I belong in church isn't because I have been unwelcome, but because I am so highly allergic to so many scents that people use. hair care products; skin lotions; colognes; after shaves; air fresheners.

You just brought back a memory for me... Remember the movie and the book " Toby Tyler?"
I had a little girl crush on him! Church I can understand. The Circus, because they cage and possibly abuse the animals?

I do remember Toby Tyler, Kevin Corcoran. He was in Old Yeller, too. Church, because I doze off every time I try to attend; usually because someone is getting married or baptized or buried. I don't know why, (psychological resistance????) I just can't stay awake. The circus....well there is that about the animals, but I was thinking more of the fact that I am so nonathletic and uncoordinated, that I would be a hazard to have around. I'd be a danger to myself and everyone else.

Also, all my allergies make church a very uncomfortable place to be. Most places where large numbers of people gather are uncomfortable for me because so many people wearing so many different scents, can darn near take my breath away, make me choke, cough, sneeze, eyes swell up.
