Invalid Emotions

I feel like my emotions are invalid, like I have no right to express them when there are people out there that have actual problems, etc. I'm afraid that I annoy people with them because they are no big deal and I'm just being melodramatic or woe-is-me.

It's like being in a room of people who are suicidal and saying, "I get so depressed sometimes..."

I think everything I say on this site will end up being like that.

I mean, give the mike to someone who needs it more.

the only way you are going to show and prove how important it is.You need to point out the things that are important to you. don't worry about anyone else until you get a positive response

Deepest, the only one that I see that doesn't seem to think her feelings and thoughts aren't valid is you. This is what I am getting from your story.

That is a good point, Calico, and something I'll def need to look more into...

Your emotions are valid because they belong to you. It is difficult endeavor indeed to compare yours with another's and somehow decide that others' are more important.
What gives another's emotions more relevance than yours?

I'd like to gently suggest that it is you who is doing so. Ever pondered the reasons behind this?

Emotions are feelings. Feelings influence thoughts. Thoughts influence actions. Actions influence character. Character influences destiny....
You have a pure gentle spirit within - on an equal plane- with every other free beautiful spirit. Let it fly sweet one, let it soar!

It helps to hear from both of you guys, me0nothing and TheButterflyEffect. Hopefully I will be able to remember it when I need to!
