Especially When It Comes To...

Especially when it comes to courses that I don't seem to be able to grasp the answers in.

I do fine with academic work, but I have very little common sense, which society in general tends to value more than academic intelligence. So even though I know I'm smart, people often don't realize it, which makes me feel dumb quite a bit. In other words, I know how it feels to not feel smart enough. It sucks.

Common sense really isn't common.

True...but I'd say it's more common than academic intelligence. I, at least, know more people with good common sense than people who do/did well in school.

Math is my problem, to me basic math concepts are hard to grasp.
