Be Very Careful

I would like to advise anyone on a spiritual path to be very careful who you trust. I am very aware that some of the worst Satanists cloak themselves in religious garb for cover. If the community sees them as religious, they are free to be as hate filled and decadent as they want to be in private. Conversely, some of the most spiritual people you will meet will may appear to you as pierced tattooed pagans who might not be real polite or polished, or maybe listen to heavy metal, but have nothing to hide. Spirituality is in the heart, an un scrubbed angel is still an angel, and a pig dressed as a priest is still a pig. Going to church, brown nosing god, quoting bible passages, and mentioning Jesus’ name every three sentences is not what makes you spiritual, in fact it is what is known as taking Gods name in vain, and is a mortal sin if it isn’t what is in your heart, and you are using it just to curry favor in the community. Hateful people who quote bible passages are still hateful people, and a peaceful, caring, honest Atheist is still a good person, religious language should not be considered magic words that allow you to be a scumbag. Don’t be fooled by dishonest fools.

Well said! I believe that spirituality has nothing to do with religion. As you have quite rightly pointed out an Atheist can be a good human being. Religion certainly is the opium of the masses. How many wars have been fought in the name of religion? If you follow any religion, you will never want to see other human being tortured, maimed and killed in the name of 'ridding the planet of evil doers'?
By the way, how do You define 'good' and 'evil'? Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, but it is hard to find someone or a group you can trust. There are a lot of charlatans out there, true. Looks can be deceiving. I yearn for a spiritual life but my darkness can get the best of me, at times. I seem to attract other "lost souls" or ones who are more advanced than I. It's hard to find sheep who aren't wolves in sheeps clothing.

I'm glad I read this post. I was going to 'cruise right on by' but your wishes and insight are very wise. Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you for taking the time to make some good, honest, down to earth points.
Hope this reaches a few of the people who are most at risk from the antics of religious charlatans

Thank you so much, hellokitty2006! If enough of us question authority, perhaps our species will evolve, instead of whatever it is that it appears to be doing now.

All very good points! Well said!!
