How About A Cosmic Religion

Albert Einstein said that he believed something smarter than all of us created everything. But he found it hard to believe in a personal God who answers prayers, rewards good, and punishes evil. He believed that because of the scientific laws of nature it was impossible to manipulate and intervine like that. He felt that we must have to content ouselves with our imperfect knowledge and understanding and treat values and moral obligations as a purely human problem!

 Perhaps our GOD didn't create us in his image. Look at what GOD created, all of humanity together could'nt imagine something this grand! Perhaps GOD  put us here with a set of definitive rules and left it at that. Unlike Einstein, I believe because of the laws of scientific nature perhaps we have been given abilities, much like our bodies ability to heal itself, to draw upon energy from within and from other like minded people. That is why I believe in GOD and good people!

I ABSOLUTELY BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF PRAYER! I believe we have to surround ouselves with good positive people, follow GODS laws (of nature?), take care of his planet he so grasciously gifted to us, and use the energy GOD gave us to help others, better ourselves, and live fruitful lives.

It's very sad that the religion of choice for most of America, and a large part of the world, is a cult that uses fear,  punishment, and guilt as its motivator! The best thing the Christian Church may have done in the last 150 years or so was stand up to the evil nazi regime when no other social institution in the world would! It's as if they failed to believe they could get people to follow them with just truth and love only! 

I'm not bashing, I want it to be the type of religion it needs to be. It's all about love for everyone including the ones who hurt you, and acknowledging the superhuman being. Perhaps it's all too much for us to comprehend? Possibly it is for the egotistical and feeble minded?

If we need a religion it must encompass love for one another and does not use fear, punishment, and guilt to motivate!

Buddhism has a lot of the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion for the future. It transcends a personal God, avoids dogmas and theology, it covers both the natural and the spiritual, it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual, as a meaningful unity.  What do you think?

And while we're at it let's abolish war, hunger, child abuse, ignorance, sexual crimes, the destruction of earth...............................................................
