If Just One Thing Or One Area Would Be Okay
And in all these I have a clear understanding in my brain that it is God I should be turning to to solve these things. And when I'm in church that seems easy when singing praise songs and surrounded by Christians. But when I get home to my little lonely apartment and the soft blue light of my only companion...my puter...it all seems much harder. And God seems very far away and silent. And I wonder how long I will thrash around and cry and feel desparate before I figure out what He wants me to do here.

Posted Jul 11th, 2008 at 11:48AM something the others haven't mentioned (which is kinda hard u guys covered a lot) When I was low and trying to pull myself out of it, i found it helpful to keep a diary, this way you can read back on better days to cheer urself up or feel that things aren't so bad. The final thing that helped me was seeing the next day as a new one, even tho nothing much had changed but my perception. I choose to write a list of things I wanted to achieve in my life or try absolutely anything. I've since taken up saxophone and started to look into horse riding in my local area. Like they said small steps, small things u integrate u into your life that can being you joy, gradually can bring more and more to your life. Even involve your dad if you can. Show him new things you've learnt or made. I wish you the best of luck hunny
Posted Jul 13th, 2008 at 5:54PM Being thankful for what you DO have may open doors to more untrapped feelings and ideas . I know lots of people right now that don't have a job or home and they are really trapped. Down to just a couple of options. I have a son that is a challenge and I can not work right now and staying at home all of the time is very taxing on the nerves so I try to live by the saying "Bloom Where You Are Planted." Where ever you are or whatever your challenges find the good...the bright spot and be good to yourself. God Bless You Julie
Posted Jul 13th, 2008 at 9:39PM prayerwhisper......i feel the exact, exact, exact same way, even with the God part. I am working on it....it's a trial for sure. But like you said..TRAPPED..I am talking to a brilliant physcologist...what a wonderful wonderful person and help to me. I wish I could share with you more about what I am learning from him. This is my 2nd physcologist, my first one took another job at the office and I asked for this other person that I have heard nothing but great things. This is only the 3 week I went and already I feel 50 percent better in 3 weeks, but i wasted 2 years with this other Phys and never improved a bit. just want to tell you, its work but it can get better somewhat, and since you have benefits where you work at, go to your doctor and have him refer you to a physcologist and a good one....it helps
Posted Jul 16th, 2008 at 1:06AM OK this is some tough crap. it is not how many times you find your butt in the dirt but how many times you GET UP, dust yourself off and get back in the game slugger. it sounds like everyday life is kicking you in the head. about the job...... man, we all have jobs, some people are blessed and have jobs they like. some people have to get a crappy job until they can find a job they can tolerate. don't mean to sound too preachy.... but be thankful for having a job . and for now, do the work at hand. the debt... a wise man (will rogers) once said when you find yourself in a hole the first thing you need to do is stop digging. throw down your shovel! figure out what it is that is causing your debt. if it is stuff... you don't need it. clothes go out of style. stuff breaks. do a "clean sweep" it is soooo liberating. your health issues.... I have no clue what they are but most people do not do these things... take care of yourself. drink plenty of water. eat right and get enough rest. sounds so 8th grade health class I know the friends... sounds like you are just slow to warm up to people. we are all human and it is perfectly ok not to be as outgoing as everyone else is. but if you think it is a problem examine why. the church thing... again not to be preachy, but a good church family and some bible based lessons may help you find what you are searching for. try not to go to a church that is surrounded by a tall fence or stockpiles weapons or anything else that sounds "compoundish" LOL be strong and know that I will pray for the Lord to ease the burden that you feel.
Posted Jul 23rd, 2008 at 9:04PM You will thrash around until you decide to take control and step forward. Many say they trust that God will get them out of a particular situation, but how many believe that God has already CREATED a path out of the situation? You just have to start down that path (a different one from the one you are on) and have faith that God will walk it with you. "Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid." --Goethe I'm cheering for you.
Posted Aug 14th, 2008 at 7:20AM Failure to bond? That could be a clue. Another possible clue is the attraction to the church group – in a good group, the social order and the rules are extremely simplified and softened. Take the word “Asperger’s” and surf the net. The shrinks give a good description of a very superficial view. But they have no clue as to what’s really happening underneath and why. If any of it rings a bell, I can take you on a little field trip. Check out WrongPlanet.net, and find out just how deep the rabbit hole goes. My name over there is Tttahiti.
Posted Aug 15th, 2008 at 12:25AM I'm surprised by the amount of thoughts and advice, but I think that means I'm not alone in my struggle. So for all of you out there who are my partners in this struggle called life on planet earth, may God hold you up and give you peace despite everything and know we are not so alone in the struggle. :)
Posted Aug 25th, 2008 at 4:21AM I have totally been there, and there are days when I feel like I still am. What usually makes me feel better (even by a few degrees) is to come up with a very definitive plan of how I can in one area or another make my life better. I may not be able to do everything now, but coming up with a timeline and/or a check-list helps motivate me and gets me through even just another day. Maybe it will work for you... Hang in there.
