I Fell In Love With Someone I Met Online
We met here on EP.
It began with playing in Q & A. Then casual conversations on Whiteboards. Soon we were chatting on Meebo, then Yahoo. That became a part of our mornings.... chatting online while we drank our morning coffee.
February 18, 2012 we met face-to-face, in person, for the very first time. (His story is still available to read on this site). At that meeting we decided we would like to see each other again.
We did. As often as our lives allowed, we met at Exit 3 (the half-way point for each of us). Sometimes I would drive to the city where he lived. Sometimes he would drive to where I lived.
Then, in July, I left the area and moved 2000 miles away. Since then, we've only been physically together, three times. It has been difficult to be so far away for such long periods of time.
Even through that and everything else life tends to throw at people, we've stayed strong. We talk and text everyday. Some days we are on the phone for hours. Other days it's just for a couple of minutes. We email articles of interest to each other, discuss the news and our families.
We talk about our days, our moments. We share hopes and dreams. We discuss our future(s) and where they will intersect. We are more intimate with each other than we have ever been with anyone before. Sometimes I wonder if the distance has had something to do with that. Maybe....
But all day, every day, I wish he were here.
Stay tuned. There is so much more to come with this story.
