Are You Tired?

Depression has a way of making a person feel really tired. Like some one pulled my cork and let all the life run out. Somtimes I feel like a zombie. So tired I could be dead but somehow I manage to keep going. I hate getting out of bed every day. It seem pointless to keep getting up and going to work 7 days a week when you know your not getting anywere and that every thing you experience that day is just going to agravate you or make you sad. Somtimes I feel as if I have no energy left at all. I've lost most of the urge to fight back. I never thought I would find this state of being eceptible. I hate this, but it seems as if I have no choice but to keep dealing with it. That in itself is enough to make a person tired.

I fiind myself thinking, as I make the bed, that I cannot wait to get back in--for the day to be over. Depression is exhausting as it drains you metally and physically, the physical part from the constant struggle to manage the anxiety and the pain inflicted on us by the mental part.
Sometimes I think it is good, to be kind to yourslef, and let yourself sleep as much as you want to.
But then other times I find that doing something--if you can find the energy-in my case I run or crochete like an old lady--it helps to at least temporarily re-direct your mind. It gives you some relief, you know, so that you can have the strength---to go back to bed..

if you would like to talk that is fine pinegrove.
