Introvert And Depressed

I am an introvert. But my mind always scolds me for not being more social and for not having many friends, which eventually led me to depression and loneliness. I am an intelligent person and also good in my carrier but I can never get rid of my inferiority complex and a long term low mood.

Hello from a fellow introvert. It can be hard to accept ourselves as introverts because the dominant and most valued personality type in the western world is that of the extravert. But we have no choice but to accept our nature. It is the way we were made. I have often pretended to be more outgoing than I am because my mum told me all my life I was mentally ill (she was an extreme extravert and couldn't relate to me at all, seeing my introverted nature as an illness) and it is only in the last few years that I have started to try to accept myelf as I am. There are a lot of websites for and by introverts which are helpful.
