Whatever name, you were and still are the love I had searched for. The love I had given up on so long ago.

You, with your gentle manners, your smile, and lazy way of sidling up to me, as if you had always been there. You, with your positive way of seeing things.

I did not believe I could be so happy, so filled,and so complete.

No one...no one... ever called me 'baby'. But you always did. Your voice soft, even when raised to get my attention. Only a true son of the south can do that. LOL.

Your easy stroll, flowing along. I found you.

Or you found me.

Into my life... a lifetime in a few months.

Ripped from my life. My days empty and sleep/dreams out of my reach at night.

I waited for you those many years ago. By the beach, watching the surf. Walking the blvd. But you had gone.

I searched and waited and finally exhausted, gave up.

With a smile and a small laugh, you burst into my life once more.

No hero could have done more. The pirate who stole my heart. The Fae who brought me magic. My angel who kept me alive.

I found you once, or you found me. I'll stay... you've gone where I can't follow, at least not yet.
