The question we are asking this week is: "How has cancer affected you and your loved ones?”

As we've mentioned, the goal of the Featured Cause question of the week is to provide a question that everyone can answer, and that helps you think about what the cause stands for in general.  In this case, The V Foundation for Cancer Research, founded by ESPN and Jim Valvano has raised over $90 million for cancer research over the last 17 years.  The organization started with the dream of Jim Valvano, the passionate and committed former NC State basketball coach and award-winning broadcaster, as he battled cancer. Wanting to see the battle through to victory, Valvano recruited friends and family to lead The V Foundation in his quest to eradicate the disease that ultimately claimed his life.

So let's stop talking and let's get started on raising money for cancer research.
