"The Scent"

I have an ongoing love relationship with perfumes, starting ever since I could remember. My mother had that one bottle of perfume by Jean Couturier called "Ma Griffe" which she kept under lock to wear to church only on Sundays. I used to get a whole of the key, saturated myself with the perfume and add water to it. i stopped when the color turned white as milk. After I graduated from High school, I landed a job  at "La Belle Creole" a high end store in department store. My regular pay was $80 a month,but  I earned and additional 5% commission when I promoted new lines. i worked there an entire year and never came home with a paycheck or the five percent commission. Because I utilized all my earnings to buy perfumes. My parents thought  I was mentally challenged! people used to tell my parents not to worry that it was a passing phase. The love grew so  strong with age that I have a collection of perfumes, perfume oils body lotion and creams in every corner of my house and I'm still in quest for new ones!!
