Support The GLSEN -- Earn Points, Help Raise Money, And Fight For Equality And Love For All!
TwitCause is teaming up with GLSEN -- The Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network -- in the campaign to make a world where every child learns to respect and accept all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/ex
The GLSEN values and mission intersect directly with Experience Project as the cornerstone of our very precious online community is based on the main idea that we -- all of us -- valued. That a community of diversity is equally about acceptance, understanding, loving and learning from one another. GLSEN is in the middle of a pledge drive as we speak and if you can spare a bit in support of a good cause, check out their donation page here: GLSEN Link
But, as finances are often tight, there are always other ways you can show your support. Earning points is a great way to raise awareness and make a difference -- here's how to earn points for the cause:
+1 point for each person that "hearts" the GLSEN, you can do that in the Group or through the Featured Cause module shown throughout EP. EP Link
+4 points for each tweet that includes http://bit.ly/twitcause. You can retweet the message with one click via our TwitCause page here: EP Link
+4 points for each person that joins the "I Support the GLSEN" Group: EP Link
+6 points for each person that answers the Featured Cause question of the week, which you can do on the Featured Cause module shown throughout the site as well as in the GLSEN Group: EP Link
+8 ($2!) points for each story shared in the "I Support the GLSEN" Group. Share your story of why this cause matters to you in the Group: EP Link
The question we're asking this week is: "What does equality mean to you?" As we've mentioned, the goal of the Featured Cause question of the week is to provide a question that everyone can answer, and that helps you think about what the cause stands for. In this case, the GLSEN is all about equality whether you are gay, lesbian, straight, bisexual, transgender -- it doesn't matter -- because we are all human beings and all worthy of love and respect. Equality matters here on EP. It is something we all embrace. Now lets work together and spread this same sentiment and community foundation offline!
