I Keep My Tonsilloliths In a Special Box.

Nah, I'm lying. That would be gross.

I am serious about getting some statistics down, though. Please follow my lead.

 • Sex: M
 • Age: 21
 • First Tonsillolith: 18
 • Tonsillolith Incidents: ~10
 • Mouth Breather: N
 • Dietary Abnormalities: 1 gal both skim milk and water per day.
 • Opinions: I personally link tonsilloliths with powdered protein shakes. I have yet to get a tonsillolith while off supplements, and tend to notice them after about two weeks of daily usage.

1st when i was 21. No long term Tonsil stone action at first.

Looking back i have tried protein shakes off and on and have had tonsil stones..off and on.

for the last 3 months i have been working out much more that usual and have been taking Whey Protein on the days that i work out. The days i work out and take the shake are the same days i notice a swollen feeling in my throat and usually pop out a few tonsil stones those days. If i don't take the shake and work out i'm good to go( no tonsil stones). I don't smoke, no soda, not a lot of sugar and i'm very healthy.
Protein seems to be a direct trigger for tonsil stones in my case

Well, I had mine out when I was 20 - it was the best thing I ever did.

i've never had a protein shake in my life and i continue to get tonsil stones... so no.

Check this out - it might help?
