I Know How to Get Rid of Them!

I've been reading some of your stories, so I thought I would help some of you on how to get rid of this things...

A few years ago I did some research on the internet about these things too and found something that works awesome!  It's called Dr. Grossman's Hydro-pulse.  It's kinda pricey (around $100), but man...is it worth it.  Arguably the best 100 dollars I've ever spent in my life.

It's kinda like a water-pik, but more gentle (it pulses, and from what I've read from others, it's a lot safer than a water-pik).  I put the tongue cleaner attachment on it, turn mine up to just over medium pressure, pour in some non-iodized salt, and blast away at my tonsils.  It shoots those damn tonsil stones out into the sink!

The trick I have found with this thing to to actually touch and "massage" you tonsils with it.  Also, moving it around and sticking it way far back into the back of my throat works well too.  I just blasted mine a week or so ago and started getting a sore throat tonight.  So...I thought I'd try it again, and holy cow!  I blasted out 5 huge stones from my left tonsil!!!!

This I think is a much safer way than what some  people are saying to do (like using toothpicks, scrapers et...that CAN'T be good for you!)

The other good thing about the hydro-pulse is that it also comes with some nose attachments so you can do sinus rinses.  I think it helps to prevent the tonsilloliths when you are having sinus problems. I always seem to get them the worse during stuffy noses and sinus infections.  I think it is because there is more stuff draining over the tonsils at that time.

Since I live in a dry climate (Colorado), the sinus thing is a life saver.  In fact, my doctor told me that it is the best thing you can do for your sinuses  when they are infected (it cleanses and moves the stuff out...).  Oh...and don't buy the stuff to add to the water.  All you need to do is add non-iodized salt to the water in order to run it up your nose.  I love it!

That's my solution, so I hope it's helpful.  This device has been a lifesaver for me.  I think you have to order it over the internet, so try doing a google search for it.  For all of you stressing about getting those things out and keeping them out (and not damaging your tonsils in the process), get it.  I'll vouch for it.

I give Tom's tip a 5 our of 5, because he discovered an easy way to get these things out. No doubt, I will make up the $100 in the time I save in the efficiency of this device. I hope it works as well for me as it does for you!

Great tip! I will tell you I do get sinus infections alot! I also suffer from extreme sinus headaches and pressure all year round! My sinuses never seem to drain and all I have is the extreme pressure between the eyes 24/7. About the only time they drain it seems is if I have a cold and finally get to the runny nose phase. Then I do get some relief from the pressure finally. I have also had some problems with reoccuring tonsillitis is the last 2 years. I am a 37 year old female and I never had trouble with my tonsills as a child. I have actually been very ill with the tonsillitis about 2 months ago. My throat felt like it was almost swollen shut. My doctor put me on antibiotics and it seemed to go away. Strange at my age I think. I don't know why I have started having problems with my tonsills in the last couple of years.
