Enlightened :)

I have wondered for years what these things were....I am 23 now and have had acute tonsilitis more than a dozen times since the age of 8, but have yet to find a doctor willing to remove the blasted things...

I can only assume that I have tonsilloliths as a result of chronic inflammation of my tonsils, because I've already ruled out the diet factor. (I 've heard that sugar and dairy can cause these, but as a vegan, I don't consume either).

At any rate, I'd love a valid explanatiuon of why a physician would rather continuously treat chronic infextions as opposed to removing the tonsils straight away...Any ideas???
