Big Stone

I believe I have had problems with stones since my teens. Recently I went to a sleep evaluation centre to see if I had any sleep problems. I took some xrays done in 2006 of my neck "just in case" It was then that I made the corelation between a big bump just below my right tonsil and a mass showing on the xray in the same spot. I had the xray as part of a very long running investigation by several doctors and ENT specialists, which included ultrasounds & cameras over ten years, all looking for an undefined lump in my throat. In 2006 the blob had a base of 15mm, next to my spine, and was about 8mm deep. Using my finger as a guide it now feels at least 15mm deep, probably deeper. I'm off to see another ENT on Thursday(6 days), and now armed with info on Tonsil Stones maybe something will happen

1 week later:

I have just had a good close look at that xray and managed to locate the lump, the xray was taken with lower power so the focusing is a liitle blurry out side the target area.  The mass is 25mm long (1" to the people in the only non-metric country in the world) and 10mm thick, it's actually longer but curls on the end like a hockey stick. So it will be very interesting to see what the ENT do.

 

 

Well, a visit to the ENT, CT and no tonsil stones, I'm in the wrong group.

I do have little stones at times, but I was sure the lump had to be.....

So after 10 years of medical science, still don't know what the lump is
