In my case it was black and white tv. And a wood stove to heat the house with in the winter. I didn't know what a video game was until I was 17 years old. And going to town was a main event or at least I thought so until I was about 19 years old. You are so right today's kids have it so to to easy.

I totally agree! I still have an Atari (course I have a Wii too) - I was a 'gamer' before there was such a thing...The best game was 'Wizardy' on the Apple II+. It was a green monochrome screen with a single 2"x3" picture made from pixels - everything else was text...and if you wanted a map you had to figure out how to draw it yourself...no automapping and no cheat books (or cheat codes) - only true glitches! :-)

OMG - I know EXACTLY what you mean. NO text messaging - we actually ahd to talk. I remember the first day MTV aired - I was so excited. Yeah - kids have it rough.
