Not Usually But This Time Yes!

I started coming down with a sore throat on Monday but it wasn't so bad so i just kept on going. By Wednesday morning I was starting to feel really short of breath so i left work, despite not being able to afford the time off, and went straight to bed thinking I would be able to sleep it off.
Wake up Thursday morning and my voice is gone, plus taking even shallow breaths requires so much effort I am totally exhausted. So i do the right thing, I stay in bed all day. By Friday I am getting worse so off to the doctor I go, fainting once on the way, only to be told its a virus, here are some steroids to help you breathe, get some I haven't already been resting.
By Friday night I am in agony across my chest and back and the coughing fits are bringing me to tears. My head is going to explode. I'm up half the night coughing and coughing without a break. Wake up Saturday and I feel worse again! Temperature spiking and dizzy.
I have no idea how I got this devil virus and normally I just get on with things but this time I just can't. I'm too exhausted just trying to breathe! So as a result I am losing my patience and losing my temper. I've really had enough of this!

Restless Legend, I have had this same thing for more than three weeks and I am actually worried because I also have asthma and chronic bronchitis, so I know how you feel. Everyone that has this is concerned because we all know that it isn't normal to have ANY virus or illness this long. It seems that it is crossing borders too since you are in Australia and I am in the US. I thought it was just me and a few sporadic cases until family members got it as well as others in different areas, I think this is something that everyone should be aware of ans very concerned about... especially if they have weak immune systems like I do, due to health issues....
