Anxiety Disorder and Crowds

I hate crowds. I feel lost when there are too many people.  Lost and small.  Like a mouse avoiding the eagles' tallons.  I shop only if I have to or when there aren't alot of people- forget sales, I'll pay the price just to miss the people.  The day after thanksgiving I stay home.   I know its fear, that and I am a sponge that absorbs other peoples' energies so easily.  I wish I could be like others and enjoy an outing at the mall, get to know people, save money on sales, etc.  But it's not who I am.

I totally understand. For me it's not just the mall, it's all large crowds. Downtown on new years or the 4th of July? Not a chance in hell. I totally identify with the mouse feeling. But nobody actually meets people in huge crowds and I've never seen anything decent that was bought at a massive sale. I don't think we're missing out on too much. At least that's what I tell myself.
