Debris

The ripples of the waters is as soothing as watching the horizon fade into the setting sun. A debris floating with the swaying soft waves. Its buoyancy does not alter its course. It does not float about aimlessly. It has its purpose... to reach the shore.

I am that debris that rides along the ebbs of the tide, whether nearing or going farther away from the shore. I go with the flow.

I am that debris that remains a fragment of a bigger me, where shattered dreams slow me down to allow myself find another way to dance with the moving wind. I go with the flow.

It is equanimity... where I have done all that I can do at the moment... and let the the rest flow where it may. Parts of me may continue drifting away... other parts may choose to stay sunken for they have served their purpose... and some may find my other debris and continue rolling with the waves... a force of nature to come together... and be stronger to catch the next wave.

And one day that debris will finally reach land, where I may turn to pieces even more, crumbling with the rays of the heat; but will nurture the land it settles in, providing more character to an otherwise pure whiteness of the coast.

Each debris of me is a firm design with the function and intention of creating more value. Shattered and scattered I may be, but I go with the flow for a chance to create a better faerie.

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” ~ Lao-Tzu

Quotes are awesome, Mich. Think faerie uses them half of the time in my conversations, here or in rl.<br />
<br />
And here's Mr Quote himself! Ta-da!<br />
Thanks, Sci for visiting faerie's story. I like the part, "... all things are brought into being with a changing nature..."<br />
<br />
Faerie assumed before that we needed to be whole and that alone will serve a purpose. Only through all these changes happening in my life have I realized that I am several pieces. But each part, Dean has its own purpose, and not only a grand scheme of one purpose. As we all continue realizing who we are, we also realize who we can be. Each debris from me comes into play to create a new purpose, to create a new me, even if it's only a piece. And I like that. The flow allows me to see that... to choose how I can react. And yes... the time we want to control is the time the flow stops. <br />
Is faerie learning...???

"All things change, nothing is extinguished. There is nothing in the whole world which is permanent. Everything flows onward; all things are brought into being with a changing nature; the ages themselves glide by in constant movement." ~ Ovid

I, too, go with the flow but I feel like one floating ob<x>ject with little bits broken off here and there.<br />
You certainly find some interesting quotes.
