Goodbye Angel

The roar of the crowd lifted his spirits as he picked his guitar up from the edge of the stage, adjusting the strap around his neck and letting it hang down for a moment, before lifting it, and letting his fingers' slide over its neck, causing it to sound through the amplifiers on the stage as the crowd gave an appreciative roar in response.

Stepping back from the stage, raising his right hand to his ear, he gestured to the crowd showing his appreciation back at them, as they erupted in another roar, as the stage lights lit up in a burst of bright white light.

His hand continued to strum along the neck of the guitar, each stroke sending the crowd into a wild fury of applause and screaming. Letting his hand drop down, his fingers played over the body of his instrument, sending another wave of sound from the amplifiers into the crowd.

“So you guys want to Rock and Roll then?” he said, teasing in his voice as his fingers continued to play gracefully over the guitar, sliding up and down the length of the instrument's neck as his other hand danced slowly along the body, creating an electric wail to the crowd's appreciation.

“I said do you guys want to Rock and Roll?” his voice rising in volume as he leaned closer to the microphone, and the crowd roared again in appreciation, wild applause and shouts directed at him on the stage.

“Better, that's better” he said, listening to the crowd respond to his voice, as his fingers continued to glide over his guitar, changing up the sound and rhythm of the instrument as he did.

“Well, you guys can help me out here” he said, looking down into the crowd as the house lit up over them, showing their roaring and excited faces, as if they knew what was coming.

Stepping closer to the edge of the stage, fingers’ still caressing the guitar like it was an object of desire; he looked down into the faces of the audience, looking out across them.

“So who wants to help me?” he asked, his voice barely a whisper through the microphone, as the crowd roared back at his interaction, as he leaned closer to the microphone, whispering again.

“I said who wants to help me?” he said again, his voice carrying more power this time, but still low and seductive as it carried across the arena rippling with power, and keeping the crowd in the palm of his hand.

He stepped back again, continuing to take in the power directed at him from the crowd, as they seemed to be in direct conflict with his own voice carried from the speakers, as they pushed for his attention.

Leaning forward on the stage, he reached his hand out towards a brown-haired young woman in her mid-20’s, wearing a black-and-white Goodbye Angel T-shirt, her hair teased back into a flowing ponytail easing down her back and touching her lower back.

“Will you help me darling?” he asked, his voice dripping with seductive quality and power, as she took his hand, her whole face lighting up with joy as she screamed in hysteria at his request.

“God yes, Oh God yes” she screamed, as he shot her a smile and pulled her from the crowd, several of the roadies taking hold of her and lifting her over the security barrier, and onto the stage to stand opposite him.

He shot her a sweet smile as she stood in front of him, almost shaking in excitement as she stood so close to him, her hands moving around in an animated fashion, barely hiding her rising joy.

“What’s your name sweetheart? he asked, letting the guitar hang down across his body, its neck dipping down, as he pulled the microphone from its stand, and held it out towards her.

She screamed excitedly, seemingly unable to find the words as her brain tried to find the words she wanted to say, as he pulled the microphone back, raising it to his lips and giving her a wicked smile.

“Well, that will be easy to scream later” he said, drawing another roar from the crowd, as he moved the microphone back to her lips, as he mouthed to her softly, “What’s your name?”

This time she found the words, and excitedly blurted out “Stacey, my name's Stacey,” her words falling from her lips, as she screamed in excitement.

“Well, thank you for helping me tonight Stacey” he said, placing the microphone back in its stand and lifting the guitar from his body, adjusting the strap to let it swing down lower, before taking it in one hand and holding it around its neck.

Reaching out with his other hand, he took Stacey’s hand, easing her towards him, her body pressing against his as he slipped the guitar back over his body, and then across her back.

Adjusting the strap once more, he looked into her eyes as his fingers tested the strings, as she smiled back at him, trying to keep from becoming overwhelmed with the euphoria of the moment.

Easing her closer, he felt her breasts' crush against his chest as he pulled the guitar tighter against her back, removing any remaining space between them, their bodies now pressed together as one.

Reaching up to his ear, he slipped the microphone headset into place, and slid his finger across the on-switch, looking into her face as he spoke into the microphone, his eyes not leaving hers.

“Are you going to treat me right tonight, Stacey?” he said, the words dripping from his lips like a sweet nectar, causing her to nod excitedly as she felt him pull her even closer, and the sound of his guitar filled the amplifiers, and the crowd roared again.

The drums began to play softly along with him, followed by the sound of the bass, as the stage lit up, fully revealing the rest of the band as they began to play.

You were the light in the darkest of my nights
You were my heart and soul
Catching me as I fell
I know you have to go, but I don’t want you to leave me alone

The first words of the song drifted from his lips, as he continued to stare into her eyes, his head slowly moving left and right with the rhythm of the music, as he continued to stroke and caress the body and neck of his guitar, each action making the instrument sing in response.

Oh angel please don’t leave me, oh please angel don’t leave
I need your love and light in my life
Please don’t go

His words sung directly to her as the crowd suddenly vanished, their eyes locked as she listened, hanging on every word he sang to her, as she felt her body press tighter to his.

My heart is going it's broken without you Angel,
Every day as dark as night
I know you have to go, but I don’t want you to leave me alone.

The words, hers and hers alone, as she pressed herself harder to him, his guitar sliding lower down her back as he leaned closer to her body, his attention focused on her as the music and their bodies seemed to become one.

I know there is nothing I can do, no, I know angel, but please let me say

She felt the guitar pressed harder against her bottom as she eased closer, pressing herself tighter, feeling the excitement building deeper inside her body as it craved his words and touch.

Good angel, goodbye. I know you’re leaving so goodbye angel
Farewell from my heart and I hope you always know
Your place in my heart is forever

The words flowed over her as she felt her body respond in kind to his words and actions, her heartbeat skipping as it moved harder and faster in her chest, easing her body as close to his as she could, feeling each movement of his arms as he worked his skill along the guitar.

In the darkest of my days you brought your love
And made me yours, oh baby you made me yours
A fool for your love, slave to your desires.

Slowly, she felt the guitar moving from her back as his hand brushed her hip, her eyes closing tight as her body responded to his touch, exhaling a heavy breath of pleasure as he turned her body to face out towards the crowd.

I know there is nothing I can do, no, I know angel, but please let me say

She eased her back against him as she felt his guitar slip back over her head, and press against her body just below her breasts, eyes still closed tight. She felt like it was just the two of them here, as she felt his fingers stroke the strings of the guitar once more, his voice whispering into her ear.

Good angel, goodbye. I know you’re leaving so goodbye angel
Farewell from my heart and I hope you always know
Your place in my heart is forever

Her head fell back resting against his shoulder, neck straining slightly as the music and lyrics danced through her mind, as the familiar guitar of a song she had listened to a thousand times before, played just for her.

In the darkest of my days you brought your love
And made me yours, oh baby you made me yours
A fool for your love, slave to your desires.

Feeling the guitar hard against her and the feel of his arms, the music began to become lower, as the drums faded away, then the rhythm and bass guitars, leaving just his slow playing across the guitar, inches from her own body, as she opened her eyes to see the crowd before her bathed in the bright white lights of the area.

Good angel, goodbye. I know you’re leaving so goodbye angel
Farewell from my heart and I hope you always know
Your place in my heart is forever

The words eased from his lips with genuine emotion in his voice, as it cracked and sounded worn for a moment.

Good angel, goodbye. I know you’re leaving so goodbye angel
Farewell from my heart and I hope you always know
Your place in my heart is forever

She twisted her head to see the tears forming in his eyes, his hands slipping from the guitar and letting it drop down, hanging from its strap as he raised his arms out towards the audience, and they roared back.

Good angel, goodbye. I know you’re leaving so goodbye angel
Farewell from my heart and I hope you always know
Your place in my heart is forever

Then the house lights dimmed, reducing the stage to darkness for a moment, as she felt the closeness between them even more now, the darkness engulfing their bodies as she felt him so close.

The house lights suddenly came back up, and the crowd roared with approval and applause, as she let her head lay back, closing her eyes once more, willing the moment to last just a few moments longer.
