I Got a New Job
Well, I started my new job today, as a matter of fact! Left behind one retail store for another retail store's call center. I left my old job because the pay was terrible, and the management was awful. There was no communication, and no clear leadership, and everything is going down the toilet because the store manager has no backbone.
I owe my new job to my best friend at my old job. He gave me the confidence to apply (and I answered the personality questions on the interview the way I thought he would have answered them about me, rather than how I would normally answer them about myself), and to go to the interview and really make it. I owe him everything.
There might be a new romance in my future, as well. I'm leaving behind the married coworker I liked flirting with so much at my old job (sad about that, actually, because he's pretty hot and I really loved him). But today at work, when I go in for orientation, there's this really cute guy, maybe late 20's, early 30's. Sitting in the cubicle right across from me. We talked during break, and it turns out we have a lot in common. I can't wait to go back to work tomorrow!
And the pay rate at this new job is pretty good. I'll be making twice what I was making at my old job. If I can manage to stay there long enough, I can see a house of my own in my very near future!
So, yay! New job, (maybe) new love interest, new life!
