I have an Uncle who was killed and buried at Normandy. It destroyed the family. My brother was killed on September 11th and I miss him every day. Your post is beautiful. We need to find a way to get along in this world it isn't easy. God bless the men and women who protect this country and the families of those who have perished.

Agreed,it is so tragic to see all those brave men and women coming home in coffins from Afganistan.

War has always been Man's curse, caused by a variety of reasons,Religion,Land,Despots....many reasons. It is abhorrent and vile.We as Humans keep on repeating our mistakes and so Wars continue and most probably always will.I am anti war and wish for a world where Peace and tolerance reigns.
Thank you for contributing to this post, appreciated.

I wish there could be peace in this world. Sadly it will probably never happen. But we can always hope! My father in-law lived to tell his stories from WWII after being shot down and held as a POW. They are some pretty gruesome tales.
