My Shocking Shoplifting Story

First of all, I would like to say that I am so sorry to all those I hurt and let down. I would like you to know that I've never regretted anything more than this....

I was brought up as a polite, well-mannered child. my parents always wanted the best for me, and were frequentley telling me that stealing of any kind is a sin. When I was 11, my parents started to argue between themselves, and when I was 12 they split up. I was deeply hurt, as I loved both of them so much. I lived with my Mom and my brothers all midweek, and then with my Dad at the weekend. When Mom and us had moved out, I had to start new school, leaving all my old friends behind. I quickley befriended two girls, *Louise and *Sara. they were great fun to be around, and even though this new school was in a run-down area, I always found them to be respectable and well Brought-up. that was, until, the day we were caught shoplifting....

My dad had just started dating a new woman two years after the split. by then, I was 14, and at the emotional peak in my young life. even though this new woman was very kind and understanding, I despised her. I blamed her for the divorce, even though I knew Dad had only just met her. I wanted to find a way to get Mom and Dad back together, even though I knew that they hated eachother now. *Sara's parents were also divorced, but she wasnt very helpful with my ploy. "Noway will it work!" she laughed when I told her. "Trust me, I've tried it!" I was feeling very down, so *Louise suggested we go window shopping to cheer me up. we met at the mall, and had great fun browsing, pretending we were rich. but then the fun got out of hand. as I thought we would be window shopping, I had brought no cash. But then I saw the most fabulous eyeshadow ever. Lush, carribean blue. I wanted it so badly I ached. *Take it" Louise whispered. "What?" I asked, suprised by what she had said. looking around, she opened her bag slightley. it was stuffed with CD's, T-shirts, all stuff she'd stolen earlier. I was shocked. but then one more gaze at the eyeshadow got the better of me...

Next thing I knew, I was walking quickley towords the exit, Sara and Loise huddled near. what frightened me was the big securityguard standing near the doorway. I thought we'd made it, but then we heared a man shouting behind us. "RUN!" I screamed. but I felt strong arms pulling me back. I saw Loise attempting to make a break for it, but she didnt get far before two officers brought her back. We both got a criminal record. I cried so much, but the really sad thing was the shame and hurt on Mom's face :(................
