Look up the word concussion and then the next time you slap your child's face, ask yourself how many times you think their little brain can go slamming against the inside of their skull before inflicting permanent brain damage.

If you think you are always in control of how hard you slap your child's face when you are angry then I assure you that you're mistaken.

    Physical violence is a sign of powerlessness and thus, failure as a parent, in my opinion.

    I was slapped in the face more times than I can tell you. It didn't even occur to me till now that I could have suffered concussion from it all those years and years of it.
