I Grew Up Poor
When I was about 12 I was staying with my mom.. I don't know Y she didn't have
any food. But we were out. I was pretty hungry so I went in the kitchen. After looking at
the few cans of veggies, tons of seasoning, and an empty fridge I decided to be creative.
I got out self rising flour, powdered suger, and the little bit of oil we had. I rolled and fluffed
the little balls. Then I cooked them. I can't tell u how many times my sisters and I ate this when
times were hard. I sometimes wd have to borrow a little of the ingredients from a neighbour.
But at least we weren't hungry. Better yet. Nobody had to know we were that bad off.
