One of Them

I met her when we were all hired together. A large group who became buds and had a blast. When we worked together it was so much fun. She was a free spirit and we flirted openly. If music was playing we'd be dancing, if we were eating we'd feed one another seductively. It was all in fun and being that she was straight, it gave her a kick to see the guys get all stupid over it. I even brought in little shamrock rub on tats once for the holiday and right there in front of everyone she lifted her shorts up and I rubbed one onto her backside. We really had a blast there!

Then one day we were taking a break in the stairwell. She had such shiny jet black hair and I just couldn't resist. We stood to leave and I gently leaned her against the wall, pressed my body to hers and leaned in for a kiss. It was soft, sweet and perfect.

I quit my job there just after that for other reasons but never forgot how much fun we always had.

I was reminded of this story last night when she walked into the store. She's aged, as have I, but I still saw that spark. Her jet black hair is now sprinkled with a few grays but beautiful as always. We joked for a bit, shared pics and smiles and I know she'll be back. *heavy sigh*
